TINY LEXIS OF NUMISMATICS

TRANSLATION STILL IN WORK

OBVERSE

The obverse of a coin is more commonly called "front" or "heads".

NUMISMATICS

Numismatics is the interest given to these tiny tracks of History that coins represent. It can consist in the study of their origins, the estimation of their value, the appreciation of their value, their growing amount more or less compulsive to achieve a collection or their leur marchandage en vrac ou au détail.

PATINE

REVERSE

The reverse of a coin is le côté que l'on appelle plus communément le côté pile de la pièce.
